Despite the wide popularity of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, it is somewhat surprising, but true, that most Agile adoptions fail or do not achieve nearly the productivity hoped. Oftentimes it is because leadership does not understand how to support the adoption, or worse, it is forced upon the teams and the “body ultimately rejects the organ”. Having lead multiple Agile adoptions dating back to early 2008, I have learned how to train and coach organizations not just on the mechanics of doing Scrum or Kanban, but on the culture changes needed to insure its successful adoption and accompanying productivity gains.
